Science Fair Judges Needed!

Asallam Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakathu,
Islamic Foundation School (IFS) is hosting its annual Science Fair for its students for Gr. 3-12 on Tuesday, March the 22nd in Islamic Foundation Toronto Masjid.

We need your help to judge students’ projects; you will receive training on the day of the Science Fair (if not earlier, announcements to follow) on how to judge them. Ideally, we are looking for students who are in the sciences field; however, if you do not have a science background and feel that you are capable of judging students from primary school; your help would be still appreciated.

The IFS Science Fair is separated into two judging sections, on Tuesday, March the 22nd:

9 am – 12 pm: Judging for Gr. 3-8

12 pm – 2 pm : Lunch (courtesy of IFS Science Fair Committee)

2 pm – 4 pm: Judging for Gr. 9-12

***You do not need to stay for the entire day. Any time that you can spare is great.

If you are interested in judging, as previously mentioned, you are free to choose which grades you would like to judge and you are not obliged to stay for the entire day. Ideally, inshaa’Allah (SWT), based on your preference, you will be assigned to judge only one grade.

Sisters, please indicate your interest by e-mailing Sr. Sana Samdani (UTSC MSA Sisters’ Da’wah Commissioner) atsana.bint.saud@gmail.com,  the following:

Brothers, please indicate your interest by e-mailing Br. Yousuf Siddiqui (IFS Science Teacher) at mysiddiqui@hotmail.com , the following:

Name:

Sciences Student: Yes/No

*If No, indicate your level of science from high school
*If Yes, indicate which sciences stream you are in

Availability Time for Tuesday, March the 22nd:

FOUR Preferred Grades [to Judge] (listed in priority, 1 indicating most preferred):

*Inshaa’Allah (SWT), you will be judging only one grade. You are asked to list other grades just in case you may not get your first choice.

This judging opportunity is not exclusive to UTSC students. Please encourage other friends to volunteer as well, learn some and teach some, and earn some…barakaah; inshaa’Allahu ta’alaa! On behalf of IFS, jazakumullahu khairan for your time!
